Suspension contains particles sufficiently large for gravity to separate from the suspension. Solid in liquid.
Particles in a colloid are so small that electrostatic forces maintain their distribution throughout the colloid, or maybe because it is solid.
Types of colloid:
Solid sol: solid in solid: eg stained glass (metal in glass)
Gel: liquid in solid: eg jelly (water in gelatin)
Solid foam: gas in solid: eg pumice
Sol: solid in liquid: eg blood (cells in plasma)
Emulsion: liquid in liquid: eg milk (fat/oils in water)
Foam: gas in liquid: eg whipped cream
Aerosol: solid/liquid in gas: eg smoke, fog/mist/clouds

Mr Prasad

Your blog has gone weird and it only displays the background colour not the homework.
It might be a problem with my computer though is anyone else having that problem?
